Hutchinson calls for a tuition freeze

In a letter sent in early January to four-year Arkansas colleges and universities, Governor Asa Hutchinson requested the schools “freeze” their tuition rates for in-state students for the upcoming academic year.

Students on the Chancellor’s and Dean’s Lists for fall 2017 at Arkansas State University have been announced. Combined, the group numbers 2,240 students. For the inaugural year at Campus Querétaro, México, 17 students met the academic requirements for the two categories.

State Supreme Court dismisses ASU lawsuit

Last week the Arkansas Supreme Court dismissed a case made against Arkansas State University by a former student. The decision reversed a lower court’s decision to hear the case, and granted A-State sovereign immunity.

National Science Foundation approves $5.48 million in grants for biodiversity projects

A-State announces record enrollment numbers

A-State has experienced record-breaking growth in the last year. The university announced Sept. 7 that A-State is beginning the  2016-17 academic year with an all-time record enrollment of 14,074 and growth of five percent over last fall.

Agreements set to expedite med school application process

Dean search underway, two remaining applicants to be interviewed

After forming a search committee in February to screen applicants for the position, three finalists have been selected, the first of which visited the university Monday to answer questions from students and faculty as part of the interview process.

Uber takes a wrong turn
