An A-State student was arrested for the second time in two weeks.

According to a university police report, Chandler Weber, senior music education and psychology major and former assistant drum major at A-State, was arrested Nov. 1 for violating a no contact order issued to him on Oct. 28.

The order was issued after Weber’s arrest for financial fraud on Oct. 26

Police say a 21-year-old female notified them Oct. 26 that Weber, her ex-boyfriend, had possibly accessed her bank account. Weber, who is employed at Centennial Bank’s Southwest Dr. location, allegedly forwarded information from his ex’s account to another party in an attempt to harass the victim.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the friend also stated she received a second message that said, “perks of working at a bank.”

Officer Brian Shelton stated that Weber admitted to using his employment at Centennial Bank to access his ex’s account without any legal authorization to do so.

Weber also admitted to taking a photograph of the transactions and sending them to a friend of his ex-girlfriend.

Weber was instructed to stay away from his ex, but, according to Weber, A-State told him that he could still attend classes with the victim.

Weber, who is facing a felony financial identity fraud charge, is next due in court on November 23.
